The Power To Overcome Through The Balanced Word Of God!

The Power of Prayer

“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” (Corrie Ten Boom). Someone recently was sharing with me a problem and made this statement: “Susan, all I suppose I can do is pray about this situation!” I responded by saying, “Prayer is the greatest thing you need to do!” Prayer is not to be under-estimated! “Just a little talk with Jesus makes it right!” Prayer is what makes a difference! Prayer is fellowship with God! It is one way to commune with Him! “Prayer is simply a two-way conversation between you and God.” (Billy Graham). “True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that – it is spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.” (Charles Spurgeon). “Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night.” (George Herbert). Prayer can and will bring change in whatever area there is a need! Praying the Word of God (scriptures) is the most powerful prayer! The Word of God is the mind of God! Prayers aligned to the “mind of God” will produce results of change! When praying the word, you pray the Will of God! When you pray the word of God, you are in perfect harmony (agreement) with Him! This brings great confidence in knowing HE will hear us and perform what He has spoken in His word! “This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that [a]if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.” (1 John 5:14-15 AMP). Also, praying in the unknown tongues (Holy Ghost) will bring forth major change! Both this prayer and the prayer of the scriptures will bring forth major manifestations of change! It is time to go into the PRAYER CLOSET and pray some things out rather than talk them out! It is easy to turn to the arm of the flesh to talk them out rather than pray them out! It is time to pray, pray, pray! I remember seeing a sign that read: IF YOU ARE GOING TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT ANOTHER…YOU NEED TO TURN TO GOD AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT THEM! “Prayer becomes more meaningful as we counsel with the Lord in all of our doings, as we express heartfelt gratitude, and as we pray for others.” (David A. Bednar). Let’s Love one another and take things to the Lord in prayer!
