We are living in a time where there is an increase of where many people are chasing after watered-down; ear-tickling messages of the Gospel! The Apostle Paul warned that this would happen, so it is not a strange thing going on. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” 2 Timothy 4:2-4 says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” The Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom is not given to make someone altogether feel good, although we can find comfort, strength, counsel, etc. in the scriptures and the release of the Kingdom of God. The Gospel is given to bring a TRANSFORMING in our lives. Sometimes, the word of God coming forth has to provoke us into that change! It may not feel good at the time, but in the end it is worth the temporary pain it caused in our life with its provoking us toward the change! Our Heavenly Father loves us to much to leave us the way we are! Hallelujah! IF we were as quick to receive the TRUTH of God’s Word as we are to receive all other stuff spoken, can you imagine what our lives would be today! You talking about walking in freedom! The True Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom has the power to set free, make free and keep free! Amen!
